WARRENSBURG, Mo.-- Walt Hicklin, UCM's vice president emeritus of student affairs, was named president of the university's Board of Governors during a meeting on campus June 17.

The board's 2010-2011 officers were announced during the group's June plenary session, based on recommendations by the board's nominating committee. Joining Hicklin, a resident of Gravois Mills, as board officers for the coming year will be Weldon Brady, Warrensburg, vice president, and Mary Dandurand, Warrensburg, secretary.

All three are UCM alumni, and their appointments are effective July 1.

Hicklin replaces Richard Phillips, Lake Tapawingo, who has served as board president during the past two years.

Brady joined the board in February 2008, and recently completed two years of service as board secretary. Dandurand was appointed to the board in November 2009. Both are serving six-year terms.
