'BLACKOUT' SATURDAY
All Central Missouri fans are encouraged to wear black to the games against Truman State on Saturday.
The first 500 students to show up to a tailgate event at the lobby of Walton Stadium at noon will get a ticket for a free "Blackout" T-shirt at the Multipurpose Building.
Sponsored by Campus Activities and Spotlight, there will also be free food and games at the event. The concession stands at the arena will also be selling $1 hot dogs.
BASEBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER
The Mules' baseball team split a doubleheader Tuesday with Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Ark.
The Mules (5-1) took the opener 4-2 to extend their season-opening win streak to five games, but then suffered their first loss of the season with a 7-2 setback in the second game.
The Mules, who are ranked sixth, open MIAA action Friday in Joplin, Mo., with a game against Missouri Southern State at 4 p.m. The game will mark the start of a four-game series.
NEW HALL OF FAME CLASS
Eight individuals and two teams will be inducted into the Central Missouri Athletic Hall of Fame as the class of 2009-10. It's the 19th group that will be inducted in the history of the Hall of Fame, with the induction Saturday during the basketball games.
WRESTLING TO HOST DIVISION II REGIONAL
The Mules' wrestling team will host the Division II Super Regional 2 on Sunday at the Multipurpose Building. The event will start at noon, with the finals set to begin at 6 p.m.
BOWLING UPDATE
The Jennies' bowling team finished fourth at the Fontbonne Invitational this past weekend. The Jennies went 8-6 in St. Louis.
Individually, Amanda Falk finished ninth with a 187.71 average, while Natalie Jimenez was 14th overall with a 181.14 average pinfall. The Jennies, who are ranked fifth, will bowl this weekend at the Alabama A&M Classic.
