BOWLING TEAM FINISHES SECOND
The seventh-ranked Jennies' bowling team finished second at the Mid-Winter Invitational, hosted by Arkansas State.
The three-day event was the first for UCM in 2010. Senior Amanda Falk was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Jennies efforts with an average of 217 pins.
The Jennies return to action this weekend at the Kutztown Bear Invitational in Reading, Penn.
TRACK TEAMS DO WELL AT INDOOR EVENT
The Mules and Jennies track & field teams had 16 first-place finishes Friday at the UCM Indoor Invitational inside the Multipurpose Building.
Junior Kayla Muyskens achieved a Division II automatic qualifying mark in the women's shot put, while sophomore Lindsay Lettow was involved in three winning events. For the Mules, defending national champion junior Drew Frizzell won a pair of field events. His throws in the shot put and weight throw were both provisional marks. Junior Kyle McClure also won first-place in the one mile run.
The next event for the Mules and Jennies is Friday and Saturday at the Missouri Southern Invitational in Joplin, Mo.
