Poets being sought for festival

Submissions are currently being sought from area poets who would like to be considered as presenters at a Poetry Festival taking place in Knob Noster, Mo. at Montserrat Vineyards on Sunday, July 20.
Six to eight poets will be selected, each reading five or six of their works, plus the opportunity to prepare a chapbook of selected works. Each participating poet will also be individually listed in promotional materials for the event.
To submit works for consideration, send ten or more written works to:

The submission deadline is June 8, 2008.
Presentation slots are limited. Selections will be made on the basis of verbal accessibility of the works and that the presentation of the works will help to provide well-rounded experience for the festival audience. So, a variety within an individual's submitted works is encouraged.
In this offering, the term "poetry" is to be interpreted loosely. It may or may not rhyme. It may or may not have identifiable rhythm. It may or may not be in formal structure.
