Christmas Store seeks support
The Christmas Store, an organization sponsored by the Warrensburg Christian Social Concerns Committee, is seeking food donations to provide needy families and individuals with a special holiday meal. Items such as instant potatoes, canned vegetables, stuffing mix and pie ingredients are needed. Items will be collected at the Christian Life Center, 101 E. Gay St., Dec. 9, 11 and 12. Sociology professor dies suddenly
Amy Hu, who worked in the James C. Kirkpatrick Library and taught Chinese, died Friday morning of a sudden heart attack. She and her husband, Dr. Billy Hu, supported the Chinese Student Association for more than 30 years. She was also a campus ambassador in Taiwan and other areas around the world.
Military Science scholarships
The Department of Military Science has full tuition scholarships available for students graduating in 2008-2010. Book allotments are $450 per semester and there is a monthly stipend of $300-$500 for 10 months of the year. Two, three and four year scholarships are available. For more information, contact Maj. Flu shot clinic
Flu shots will be available in Union 101 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. University employees may access these shots free of charge through their health insurance plans. All others can receive a shot for $15.
Office of Campus Activities Open House
The Office of Campus Activities Open House is Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Union 217. Complimentary food and drinks will be available.
National Federation of the Blind Scholarship
The National Federation of the Blind sponsors several scholarships. Application forms and other details are available at http://www.nfb.org/nfb/scholarship_program.asp?SnID=3460868. The application deadline is March 31, 2007.
