A petition has been approved by Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, which seeks to lower the drinking age to 18 by amending Chapter 311, which deals with liquor control laws. Colleges across the country have seen a significant rise in the number of young women enrolling and graduating, according to a recent U.S. census, which states women have now surpassed men in college enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs.
